Since 1958, the Research Committee has remained dedicated to enhancing the quality of reporting practices through its esteemed ‘ICAI Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting.’ These awards recognize and honor entities that demonstrate exemplary standards in reporting, including adherence to robust disclosure requirements and effective presentation. The prime objective of organising the ICAI Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting is to bring out the financial and non-financial information which aims to promote a culture of integrity, precision, and clarity in reporting.

Excellence in Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is organizing the ICAI Sustainability Reporting Awards 2023-24 to celebrate Excellence in Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR). These awards honor organizations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainable practices, aligning with global standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With categories based on market capitalization—Large-Cap (Rs 20,000 crore or more), Mid-Cap (Rs 5,000 crore to Rs 20,000 crore), and Small-Cap (below Rs 5,000 crore)—and distinguishing between Manufacturing and Service Sector organizations, the awards recognize sustainability leaders across industries. Additionally, a category acknowledges organizations that voluntarily disclose BRSR, even when not mandated by SEBI. ICAI’s rigorous three-tier evaluation process, involving a Technical Review, a Shield Panel, and a Jury, will evaluate the quality, transparency, and societal impact of each report. Nominations are open until 15th November 2024.

The ICAI, through its Committee on Public and Government Financial Management, has invited nominations for the Awards for the Best Presented Financial Statements for Local Bodies. The three main categories of the award are Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Panchayats, and Smart Cities. The objective of these awards is to recognize and honor local bodies for their best-presented financial statements and to encourage competition among them to enhance their financial reporting.

To celebrate the invaluable contributions of women Chartered Accountants, ICAI through WMEC is proud to present the 2nd CA Women Excellence Awards. These awards aim to acknowledge, appreciate and honor the contribution of women members who are at leadership position or have made substantial progress at the helm of the affairs in Corporates/ Organizations/Practice or contributed significantly to the Society at large across various fields, including CA Woman Life Time Achievement Award, CA Woman Independent Director Award, CA Woman of the Year Award, CA Woman Startup Award and CA Woman in Social Service Award. Nominations will be thoroughly evaluated by Technical Reviewers, Nomination Committee and a distinguished jury comprising of Seniors, Industry Experts, Business Executives and Eminent Leaders of the Profession.
